Date2020-03-13/ What's New

The department of EEE jointly organizes International Conference on Energy, Materials and Photonics (EMP20) with the Department of Physics at University of Yangon. The conference will be held from 8th to 10th July 2020 at University of Yangon in Yangon, Myanmar.

EMP conference was initiated by the Society for Energy Photonics (SEP), and advised by an advisory committee comprised of Prof. Xiao Wei Sun (Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), China), Prof. Renaud Bachelot (University of Technology of Troyes, France) and Prof. Dongling Ma (Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, Canada). The conference dates back to 2015 in Shenzhen, China. Since then, it has been held annually at different locations including Troyes (EMP16), Shenzhen (EMP17), Montreal (EMP18) and Shanghai (EMP19). More than 300 participants from multidisciplinary fields attended the EMP19 in Shanghai. This year, Associate Professor Aung Ko Ko Kyaw from the department of EEE serves as Chair of Organizing Committee.

The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for academics, scientists, business leaders, innovators, and industrialists around the world to exchange ideas and form collaborations to jointly fight energy crisis, and combat global warming and climate change. In particular, the conference is soliciting papers in a broad area of energy photonics, an emerging area in applying photonics in high-efficiency energy production, utilization, and related material research supporting these applications. EMP20 covers all aspects of Materials and Photonics in Energy applications, including but not limited to Energy Conversion and Storage materials, Functional Materials and Devices, Semiconductor Lighting and Displays, Smart Windows and Coating, and Optics and Photonics. The abstract can be submitted at the conference website (http://www.emp20conference.org/).

The world-wide scientists, professors, researchers and leaders of companies from related fields are welcome to share their research experience and indulge in discussion. The participants will also have chance to explore culturally rich and historic city in the exotic country.
