In November 26, the EEE Garage competition was held in South University and Science and Technology. Four undergraduates from Prof. Dan Luo’s group, Xiyun Zhan, Wei Zhang, Hongjie Xie and Chenxi liu have attended the competition and won the second prize.

In the competition, Xiyun Zhan’s group reported the project named “The Fabrication and Optimization of Dye-doped Liquid Crystal Smart Window”. It is a technology based on the polymer stabilized DFCLC, which can achieve bistable, high contrast and fast switching.

And Chenxi Liu’s group gave the report named “Quantum Dot Ultraviolet Sensor”. This technology can record the data of uitraviolet intensity.
