The 5th International Symposium on Liquid Crystal Photonics (SLCP) was held at Peking University from April 22 to April 24, 2016. Professor Dan Luo led his group members to participate the conference, and the research results were approved by the organizing committee. Among them, the research assistant Xiaowan Xu won the Dr. Martin Schadt Best Papers Award, the research assistants Xiaofang Niu and Qifu Liu received the Dr. Martin Schadt Travel Grants Award.
