During July 31-August 4, our undergraduate, Xiaoxue Du, went to Singapore to participate in the 2017CLEO-PR | OECC | PGC conference and made an oral presentation entitled "Electrically Switchable Smart Glass with Hyper-reflection of Infrared Light" under the guidance of Prof. Dan Luo. After that she made a pleasant intercommunication and positive response to the people who have interests.

The conference has combined the following three major international conferences: The 12th Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Pacific Rim (CLEO-PR 2017), The 22nd Opto-Electronics and Communications Conference (OECC 2017), The 5th Photonics Global Conference 2017 (PGC 2017), which widely covers in the field of “Photonics” from devices to systems and networks. This mega conference brings together international leading researchers, scientists and engineers who are actively working in lasers and their applications, nanophotonics, metamaterial, biophotonics, plasmonics, optical devices, optical transmission and optical networking, optical fibers, optical switching system and related technologies. It provide a platform for international academics, researchers, practitioners and students working in the photonics areas to discuss new developments, concepts and practices, and to identify synergies in research directions that will lead to broader and deeper applications of photonics. The conference is one of the largest and largest international photoelectric events in Asia Pacific and the world in recent years, which is organized by NTU, the American Optical Association (OSA) and the IEEE Photonics Society.
